Good Bones accessories are quick change artists; chameleon-like items that can be seasonally changed or can be used in multiple ways. This month it's crystal vases.

Don't hide them away in your China cabinet or hutch - USE THEM! Give your crystal vases a warm soapy bath and spread them around your home with fresh blooms of the season, or grouped in an artful arrangement on a table. If they are in your hutch, add seasonal finds to give them a lift - mosses, colorful glass beads, sea glass or faux small eggs. Crystal vases are beautful too just on their own. In a sunny area, they'll sparkle, and add an air of sophistication. In a baths they can be filled with bath salts, small soaps or potpourri.

Finishing Touches - It's the little and creative details that people remember.

Container Gardens are a great way of adding a punch of color to your exterior. Many discount or DYI stores have an array of beautiful containers to choose from. Make sure that the container you choose is in-tune to the style of your home's style. You can either plant the garden yourself, or picked up a store made garden to add to your new container. To add a bit of height, add curly willow, narrow bamboo, grasses or a few wood branches from a local tree.

Greeting Station - When selling your home you only get one chance to make a great 1st Impression. In the foyer your home welcome your buying guests. An entry table set with a fresh vase of flowers, two crystal bowls - one for Realtor's cards, the other for wrapped candies says you care about all your vistors. Included on the table, is the home's informational flyer, a lovely picture frame with your street address, and a tall buffet lamp on a timer. This greeting station will establish a warm welcome and encourages them to linger.

Q - How do sellers make a house look different than the rest of the homes for sale in the subdivision?

A - In today's "Buyers" market, we have to pull out all the stops to make a buyer take notice. Today's buyer is savvy; educated on the best dishwasher, the latest trend in color palettes, and kitchen design. It's up to the seller to present the home in it's best light and make it stand out from the rest. It's the little details that buyers remember and psychological clues that tell them that you've loved your home and are happy that they are visiting. Add fresh florals in the foyer and baths, create a cozy and invitingly living room allowing them to visualize their own family in that space. Great color popping landscaping will help the buyer envision themselves in this happy home.

Q - A family is relocating, and the house will be empty. How can the sellers make the home inviting, and appealing.

A - From simple accessories strategically placed, to rental furnishings for the public rooms, this form of decorating allows the seller to get the maximum impact in a very trying situation.
